This is a wine of time and place. The balanced growing season, not as warm as the previous year, helped create a classic Pinot Noir of focus & purity. The 2019 vintage draws fruit from Menefee, our family vineyard, and from the prized Larry Stone Vineyard nestled next to Seven Springs in the Eola Amity Hills. A single blend is created each year to showcase the nuances of the vintage as interpreted by distinctly different sites. Minerality and dark fruit from Larry Stone, brightness and elegance from Menefee.

The dark brambly fruit profile, combined with a more structured palate, is beautifully balanced by the bright acidity of a cooler year. The two very different sites layer their unique personalities alongside each other to create a wine of concentration and depth. Wild blackberries, black cherry liqueur, and freshly ground coffee, lay above a lively acidity creating a playful wine. The concentration comes in the form of umami, dense yet coy. The tannins help build a structure around these rich flavors, keeping balance and vibrancy.
