2021 Menefee Vineyards Chardonnay
This is a wine that conveys the range of Oregon Chardonnay, with a leaner and taught profile. The 2021 opens with flint and ocean air. Kumquat, tarragon, nectar and white flowers slowly take over to create a complex yet refreshing wine. Texturally, this wine is bright and linear, with a mineral-driven mouthfeel showing lime zest, a touch of salinity, and tight, lean acidity. Akin to Chablis, this wine has tension and energy, redefining the sense of place that Menefee can bring to the table.

Menefee, our family vineyard, is a spectacular site nestled in the foothills of the coastal range. Bordered by a mushroom farm, a doug fir tree line, and dotted with Mirabelle Plum trees and Cassis plantings, it's an ode to our family farm in the Loire Valley. It’s east-facing aspect and limited sun exposure give this vineyard an Alpine feel, creating acid-driven wines of utmost elegance.
Aged for 11 months in 100% Neutral French oak.
